Dear ASNU Owner,

1st April 2009

Welcome to the new ASNU Australia Web Site.

I would like to update you on ASNU's developments and the directions we have planned for the future, but first I would like to bring you all up to speed with ASNU distribution in Australia.

As some of you may know, Peter Cochrane has decided after over 15 years with ASNU, that it was time for a change and has decided to take another direction and a new challenge in his working life, we all at ASNU wish him the best for the future.

Although we had discussed this with Peter, the timing was a little unexpected and although we had been in discussions with a new distributor, the timing caught us a little by surprise.

We have now been able to organise our distribution programme for Australia and I would like to introduce you to our new distributor, Mr Rod Wilkinson, MD of ASNU Australia.

We have set up ASNU Australia and Rod and his team will be working hard to get things back up to speed and then to take the programme forward, so please bear with him, we want to make sure we have everything correctly organised to be able to support existing and new customers. I am sure there will be a few hiccups during this transition period, but they have our full support from over here at the factory in the UK, so what ever the question or the problem, it can be answered, with the latest technology, the world is a much smaller place now.

Please find below the contact details for Rod and the team at ASNU Australia

I would like to thank you all for your patience and understanding during this transition period, but my belief is that we have had to go back on step before we can go forward two steps and I believe that Rod and his team will be able to take the ASNU programme and the ASNU owners, that one step forward.

With the development in Gasoline Fuel Injection, we now have some interesting opportunities for ASNU owners. Because of emission regulations and Carbon Emissions and the need for companies and individuals to reduce their "Carbon Footprint" the Vehicle Manufacturers are being forced to respond with vehicle development.

The simplest area for the VM's to reduce their carbon Footprint is to make a lighter vehicle. To do this, they are now turning to Gasoline Direct Injection systems (GDI) and swinging away from the Common Rail Diesel Vehicles.

Why? Well, a gasoline GDI vehicle with a Turbo, can be a much smaller lighter engine, but can still give great fuel economy while still giving tremendous power and minimum exhaust emissions.

Reduce the weight of the engine and you don't need such a heavy duty chassis, it will also cut down considerably the wear and tear on the brakes, suspension and tyres (tyres are the biggest CO2 emission producer on the car), making to cost of ownership on a GDI vehicle a much cheaper option than a Diesel.

With gasoline having longer intervals between services than diesel, plus the cost of maintenance/repairs for Diesel vehicles increasing daily, the GDI is the perfect answer for everyone, it's a win - win situation for the VM and the motorist and the ASNU owner!!.

Rest assured, ASNU are on top of the current market requirements. We already have a system to Test & Service the solenoid driven GDI vales, in the form of our GDI Adapter Box. This adapter will work with ANY ASNU, regardless of age, so if you want to start testing and servicing GDI, just plug in and away you go, we have it covered.

In addition to the equipment for testing solenoid valves, we now have a system for testing the Piezo GDI vales as well. We have developed this for BMW in the UK and its proved a great success, especially given the cost of these valves, approximately £600 – 700 each, I don't think there will be many people saying "we don't service injectors, we just fit new" given the time it takes to remove them as well.

We now have a DVD showing the operation and use of the ASNU, we also have a Web Site Forum for ASNU Owners only www.asnu.com, why not register and join the forum.

This is a brief update on where we are at present, should you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact Rod or myself, we would be only to pleased to help. Many thanks for your customs and support.

Phil Ellisdon.
